housesitting for the last time this summer. aside from being stranded in carlisle without a car, it's not a bad gig: loki's easy to take care of ,and alex is just down the street.

 i feel like the summer went by in clumps of days, in between letters, and categorized by whatever odd job i was doing at the time. it's looking like i might not get paid for all of the babysitting i did for ann. which. i mean. they're like family. but also it was a big inconvenience. i'm looking forward to steady pay this fall. and really, i'm just looking forward to the fall in general. i feel like i'm finally doing the kinds of things i'm supposed to do: job, internship, independent study. i'm glad that danielle and margaret will be back in the area and that dan will be back on eastern time. i hope we can all make it a good semester.

tomorrow i'm going to mom-sit after she has her endoscopy. that should be...something. probably she'll sleep a lot. and i'll make alex come over and suffer through it with me.
